Graduates important for Ragn-Sells’ future
Ragn-Sells welcomed three newly graduated production engineers within the “Young Professionals” initiative in August, at our facilities in Högbytorp in Upplands-Bro and Heljestorp in Vänersborg. The program is an investment for the future to ensure the future supply of skills within the industry.
Young Professionals is a 10-month introduction program for newly graduated production engineers, to increase knowledge and understanding of waste, treatment methods, processes and the business structure. Each participant has a mentor and are given the opportunity to participate in projects in different parts of the facilities during this period. The idea is to get support, guidance and feedback from an experienced person, as they are in the beginning of their career.
- This is an investment for the future to proactively secure a broad competence for our operations. Future solutions in sustainability and circular flows will require that we are at the forefront when it comes to competence and knowledge for the entire waste chain. Through Young Professionals, we lay the foundation for our future growth, says Caroline Hübinette, HR Manager Treatment & Detox.
The first three participants started in August – two are at the facility at Högbytorp, located just north of Stockholm, and one at Heljestorp in the southwest of Sweden.
- The whole picture of the circular economy was not clear to me before and here at Ragn-Sells I have been positively surprised. There is such an amazing vision for the future here. It is exciting to work for a company that dares to implement new technologies, says Camilla Sundin, who is one of the three participants in the program.
During the introduction program, the newly graduated production engineers have 7 scheduled meetings with their mentor to discuss their development and get feedback. After the 10 months, they move on to permanent positions within Ragn-Sells.
- We are facing an exciting future and through this career program with stimulating tasks we see the opportunity to provide knowledge within recycling that will form the basis for our long-term development at Ragn-Sells, says Mikael Hedström, Business Area Manager Treatment & Detox.
