Swedish Minister optimistic after seeing Ragn-Sells circular solutions
In October Minister of Business Industry and Innovation Ibrahim Baylan visited Ragn-Sells to gain an insight into the company's circular work and learn more about the new innovations that have been developed to create a sustainable society.
- I feel very optimistic about the innovations I have seen here and the opportunities they create, both for adjusting, but also for increased growth and the job possibilities they can offer in our country," said Ibrahim Baylan who felt very inspired after the presentation.
We introduced the Minister to our work with the transformation towards a circular economy and he showed great interest in the innovations that we have developed, e.g. a solution for extracting over 90% of all phosphorus from sewage sludge.
The Minister agreed that more needs to be done from both the business community and from the State, EU and the public side for the circular challenge. He thought that Ragn-Sells’ innovations had great export opportunities and that it is in the interest of society to contribute and make sure that both the resource- and the climate issue are addressed.
- After the presentation here at Ragn-Sells, it became very clear that our old way of doing things is what dominates our regulations and how our business models look, and that has to change, said Ibrahim Baylan, who during the visit gained a greater understanding for which laws and regulations stand in the way for the circular economy. – Of course, we have problems and challenges, but we now also have the opportunity to solves them, the Minister concludes.
